Welcome to FAGRO - The National Food and Agric Show - Ghana
Hon. Kwesi Ahwoi, Minister of Food & Agriculture

The Agricultural sector in Ghana has the private sector as its backbone in driving the countries agrarian economy forward in its agenda with regards to achieving the millennium Development Goals.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture is for the 3rd consecutive year, partnering with the National Food and Agricultural Show (FAGRO) secretariat to organize the National Food and Agric Show.

The partnership with FAGRO, which provides a marketing platform for stakeholders to showcase their products and services has been successful over the years as available records indicate that, the fair has not only assisted in projecting Ghana’s agricultural sector but has aided in the successful linkage of  businesses to businesses.

We at the Ministry believe this is the beginning of an evolution that will lead Ghana, like many other countries to have a sustainable and viable exhibition platform to project Ghana’s agriculture and to move it to a highly commercial stage.

FAGRO 2011 will be held under the theme: “Beginning with the end in Mind, - The Value Chain Process” to emphasize the need to build and promote an effective value chain system in order to increase efficiency, productivity and add value to products and services. This is a theme we very much identify with in our efforts to connect our farmers to marketers and end-users.  We are certain that, the theme will be impactful through the successful partnership FAGRO has established with key International organizations; Praxis Strategy Group, Praxis Africa and FBX International (Spain).

We look forward to welcome you to the Efua Sutherland's Children Park.

    Minister for Food and Agriculture
